Getting the perfect eyebrows is not an easy thing. Many women (and men) spend a lot of time and money on eyebrow maintenance and eyebrow products. Keeping our brows cleaned up and looking perfect can be a time-consuming and sometimes painful experience. Eyebrow perfection is not just a trend. It is now a must-have for most people.
Here are some methods and techniques for making the perfect eyebrows:
1. Grooming
There are several methods for grooming eyebrows. Throughout the years, women have tweezed their eyebrows, pulling out individual hairs for a quick, regular and inexpensive maintenance. Tweezing is temporary, though, because hair grows back fast. If you prefer to remove eyebrow hair temporarily for weeks at a time, you can resort to salon waxing. Salon waxing requires a professional and it may not shape your brows precisely.
If you want your brows to be shaped more precisely with more definition, then you can resort to the ancient practice of threading. Threading requires the expertise of a professional. It does hurt, but in the hands of an expert, your brows will be shaped well and hair does not grow back for 2 to 6 weeks.
2. Tinting
Eyebrow tinting is a semi-permanent option to get perfect eyebrows. Although this is not an end-all eyebrow solution, this may give you great looking arches for about a month. As expected, the color fades so you need regular touch-ups. Tinting should also be supplemented with makeup.
Eyebrow tinting should be done in a professional salon, and most tinting specialists use a vegetable-based dye instead of a regular hair dye. The reason behind this is because the hair on our brows is more sensitive and prone to shedding compared to the hair on our head. The tinting technician should also be able to match the color of the dye to your natural skin tone.
3. Microblading
For natural-looking, semi-permanent arches, many people are resorting to microblading. Microblading is a cosmetic tattooing process that uses either a manual or digital tool to create lines that mimic natural eyebrow hairs. You need to go to a specialist who is especially trained in microblading school. This is a great option for people who need to reconstruct missing arches or fill in or reshape their eyebrows.
The tool used by a microblading technician has tiny blades that are dipped into pigment. It is placed on the top layers of the skin as strokes, so it looks like real hair. The results of microblading are great because they look like individual hairs. They look more natural compared to traditional tattooed eyebrows.
If you are seriously considering a career in the permanent makeup industry, particularly microblading, then you need to attend a microblading school. Many institutions offer microblading classes which lead to certification and licensure. Some states require individuals to get a license before they can perform microblading procedures on clients. After the training program which requires lectures and practical, hands-on training, you may submit an application to the state licensing board where you will be required to pass a practical demonstration of your skills.
